Okay. So -- from a purely Klaine standpoint, because this is kind of gnawing at me on a couple of different levels.
I have a whole line of reasoning already fully developed (and previously referenced in game) about why Blaine shellacks his hair down so mercilessly -- so there are actual reasons behind that particular insecurity, aside from 'gay comic relief is vain about his hair'. (Also, I don't really buy that Kurt has never seen Blaine sans gel. Known each other 18 months, dating a year, sleeping together 6 months? Does not compute.) I'm down for the ban on hair gel playing out, but Blaine may end up side-eying Brittany for a while after this, for forcing his hand on something he's that insecure about, :(
The bigger issue: I'm not sure why Kurt and Blaine would even go to prom, after last year's fiasco. Blaine's now had TWO bad associations with school dances, one of them actually involving violence, plus the insecurities about his appearance this time around, and then Kurt is literally being required to relive prom queen again by passing on his 'crown', even if it ends up being to his best girl friend -- we'd probably need something a bit more substantial for Klaine to show up at what they have every reason to believe is a potentially hostile environment (especially when there's a perfectly good hotel room right there, ahem.) I can usually handwave stuff like a champ, but sending my boys back into that kind of makes my stomach clench, even knowing it turns out okay and Blaine is a poodle, heh.
On the Nick front -- Katie and I are still working out details, but it looks like Nick might be playing the role of Joe Hart in Quinn's plotline, at least with the moral support at PT and trying to make her laugh and stay positive. No idea where it will go from there, but we'll find out! :)
