As she walked inside she shut the door behind her, locking it out of habit. Katie did that mostly because of her own issues. She hated to feel like she was just going to get hurt. It was one of those small things that had happened to her over time. Katie felt her heart sink as she looked around the flat. It didn’t look right, it wasn’t right, nothing about it was right. It felt overly and awkwardly empty. She really didn’t get how Angelina managed to stay there. Katie would have wanted out right away, to put that chapter behind her so to speak, not to forget, but just to move on.
“I knew you would be.” She said with a forced smile. Katie wanted to try and seem like she was okay too. It was so strange how everyone kept forcing themselves to be okay. It was so hard to just ‘be okay’ that wasn’t something that could just happen right away. Katie understood that, but that didn’t make it any easier. She didn’t like the feeling. Once she was comfortably on the couch she pulled out the Scapa bottle. “We’re drinking a muggle scotch, it’s strong, smooth, and doesn’t cause as bad of hangovers.” Katie answered as she opened the bottle handing it over to Angelina. Katie didn’t think too much about glasses at that moment.
Katie looked down for a second before looking back up to Angelina. She felt like she should have some kind of conversation, or taking points or something… But Katie was just having a hard time finding those things lately. “If we need food later, I can go get some too.” She said as she realized she should have brought some.
