Bubbly & Energetic - Bella has a naturally bubbly personality, she's open-hearted and really does want to get to know people. She's the sort of girl that tends to smile easily and find a way to try and make others smile as well. She's always looking to have more fun than not. She likes to share her energy, and it really comes out when she's on stage, where she really does love being, singing. She speaks fast when she's excited and tends to have a way of just inviting herself along when it's important.

Loyal - Bella's always been slightly a loner, so when there are people she cares about and having real friends, she's extremely loyal to the friends that she does have. She tends to want to do what is right and will put those that she cares about first. While she's the newest member of the mermaids, she's extremely loyal to them. Bella's the sort that wants to the right thing for those she cares about. She's always willing to lend a hand to her mates as well.

Brave - Bella's naturally brave and independent. She's done a lot of things on her own and will face danger when she needs too. She's willing to try new things and to learn new things. She's got the bravery to stand in front of people on stage, which isn't something that not everyone can do. She'll always face anything if it means helping those she cares about, and strangers alike.

Secretive - Bella has been a mermaid from the time she was nine years old, she's had to carry this secret for years on her own for the most part. She's had to be careful with who knows who she really is and what she is. Despite what people think of her outwardly and how people see her. Bella can be very uncomfortable letting people truly in. It was easier with Cleo and Rikki because they are all mermaids.

Tricky - Bella can be a little be... Tricky sometimes. She likes to play tricks and can sometimes go about things the wrong way, like when she does things that might be for a good reason, but she does them in a way that could hurt others. Bella doesn't always think through all of her actions and that can lead to complications and problems. She just tends to act sometimes before really thinking things through.

Sensitive - Bella is friendly and outgoing, but she's also very sensitive, she worries deeply and is hurt easily. She's quick to think that something won't work because that's the most logical to her. She doesn't completely trust things to work and her sensitivity can be very annoying. She's quick to think that she won't be liked, or that she's done something wrong. She sometimes needs reminding that she's okay and that her friends are still her friends.

Despite being Australian, Bella spent the majority of her childhood other places. Due to her father's work, she was always moving from place to place and rarely really settled in or made a lot of friends. It was when the family was living in Ireland that during the summer after her ninth Birthday she headed down to the water deciding to explore. There was something special about the cave she found. It just felt magical; it pulled her in. It was a full moon, and without fully understanding it she ended up turning into a mermaid at the age of nine.

It was exciting being a mermaid, but it was also hard on Bella, she got better at keeping secrets and never truly felt like she belonged anywhere. She had to learn how to use her power on her own without support or really understanding why sometimes she could change water into jelly or into something solid. Bella never really researched it, but her powers were apparently called Gelidkinesis/Substanciakinesis.

When Bella was 13 and living in Italy, she wasn't near the coast but still had to be careful. She couldn't help but hate not being around the water. She often found herself going to any water nearby. She nearly got caught a few times but usually remained lucky in keeping her secret as a mermaid. She never was able to form really good friendships. While she took up singing growing up she never really was part of a group long enough to make real friends. Bella's normally bubbly personality made her easy to find people to talk to, but she had a hard time letting anyone get close to her, because of what she was. She became a bit of a loner because of it.

When she turned 17, she moved again. Her family moved to a new town back in her how a country of Australia she found herself in a place that was more like home than anywhere else. Being close to the water again made her feel like she was alive, but there was a lot more to it. Despite having been so careful since she was nine, Bella met two girls just like her. Cleo and Rikki. She didn't approach them right away, but when-when Rikki was attacked by water, she dove in with Cleo to help save her.

Everything changed after Bella had known she wasn't alone, she joined Cleo and Rikki; she found her own group of friends with the boys who knew and even joined a band that played at the cafe that Rikki and her boyfriend opened. Despite constantly needing to battle water and figure out what was going on with the world, Bella found her place. Alright, she didn't always get along with Rikki especially over the topic of Will, but Bella had found her place.

Despite the insanity of dealing with the moon and trying to figure out what was happening to the moon pool, Bella kept getting closer to Will. Eventually, he found what she was and she felt like he was more interested in what she was instead of who she was. Despite a few fights and misunderstandings eventually, she and Will figured out they were both interested in each other and no one else.

Love life figured out; that did not change the fact that something was coming. With research and working with the water, the girls finally figured out that they needed to use their mermaid abilities to make sure the earth could survive by combining their power to create light to keep a comet from hitting the earth. It would have been easier except Will's sister and some idiot Cleo knew through her stepmother had decided to try and steal everything from the cave for themselves. Regardless, things worked out and the girls were able to graduate from school.... And the world didn't blow up, which to Bella is always a good thing.
