Fair Facade
So... they'd popped in a few times to check out Kiernan's new digs, and Luke had been marginally impressed. The place had been up and running in no time, since the last owner sold Kiernan most of the... innards? Anyway, he wasn't a chef. But he did need a place to throw a party. So after finishing up their lunch, Luke motioned for Tala to follow him to the kitchen so he could talk to the owner about a favor. "I'm gonna run this by him, and by you, so if it's really stupid, tell me. I'm flyin' by the seat of my pants here." Bishop told his co-worker. When they entered the kitchen, Kiernan's hands flew up in protest but Luke raised his hands to show he had no intention of touching anything. "Relax. I wanna ask you somethin' real quick. You think you could host a luau? I wanna surprise Aliyah for her birthday in a few weeks." His eyes flicked to Tala, then back to Grasp.
Kiernan put his skillet down and nodded his head gradually faster until he'd talked himself into the idea. "Don't see why not," the Irishman reasoned. "Mexican luau by the Irish. Perfect." He tossed the steak tips into the air and set the skillet back down on the burner for a second, but his eyes fixed on the she wolf. "Why the luau, besides the obvious?"
"She misses home..." and her mother. "I just want her to feel at home here." Luke cleared his throat and crossed his manly man arms at his manly chest. "Y'know, included. Thought a bunch of the X folks could come out here and stuff." Hem. "Yeah."
