Nathaniel's ass stung and whoosh, Eva was gone. That was probably for the best - he realized as the room temperature returned to normal. Eva herself was intoxicating to him, and much like alcohol, she made Nate act in ways his inhabitants would never allow. And reminiscent of an alcoholic, Nathaniel was able to better steady his nerves knowing that he'd be seeing Eva in just a few hours. Thankfully, he had very little trepidation about Eva and Julia interacting. Eva was a professional and so far Julia had been amazingly supportive of Brayden's transformation.
Nathaniel returned to Brayden's room and attempted to secure one of Eva's homemade baked goods before his son and Will demolished them all. Nate found the box and then looked to the others, "Did you eat this many already?"
"We gave some to the bear," Will admitted without looking up at his Switch screen, on the couch across from his son's bed.
