Zap rolled her eyes at her father's faux headline. After he'd gotten himself up to speed, verbally, she nodded along with 'something to hide'. That had been her primary guess. "Tonight. I didn't want to wait too long. I told him I'd give it 24-hours and then turn things over to our people." More than likely, the mutant authorities were going to be involved either way. But if Nathaniel needed a running start, and he had proof, she would try to give it to him.
"He's not my magician." She took a long, much-needed swallow of cold Dos Equis and let her shoulders relax. "I didn't tell him any war stories," she promised.
