Re: Taxonomy | 4-15-2020 | Late Afternoon
Lochlan appeared with the spicy mayor’s favorite beer, immediately felt the energy between the father and daughter, and had no problem making a quick exit. Not before he shot Eva a wink for her troubles.
Forge trusted his daughter, despite what a third party might have assumed by their initial interaction. However, just because he believed in Eva didn’t mean she could get away without showing her work. “Mystery man appears in town, touches mayor, convinces her of magic,” Forge said, the levity apparent in his tone. “Missing Asgardian,” he said in more hushed tones, and shifted on his stool. “Damn peculiar,” he added, a blanket statement about the entire situation. “For them to go to outside sources means one of two things. They don’t trust us,” unlikely, he thought, which went unsaid. “Or they have something to hide,” Forge added, then finished his bottle. “Guess we oughta figure out what it is. When’s this meeting with your magician?” Forge needed to see for himself whether this guy did tricks or illusions before he could advise his daughter. Advise, because at the end of the day she was going to do what she wanted. Just like her mother.
