Re: Brainchild | 5-1-2019 | Evening
"I do enjoy sharing the same page as you," Loki let slip with a smirk. She agreed with him - which wasn't exactly as commonplace as one might think. Especially considering how fond the prince was of the girl.
She began to speak but trailed off and it gave Loki pause as well. "So I have startled you," he interjected. His chin rose a bit to show how intently he was listening when she mentioned Skadi's shoes, eyes narrowing a bit with focus. Yes... startled, indeed. The god cleared his throat and straightened his posture a bit, but still held to her hands. "My darling," he sighed, "so very many bad things have happened to me." That wasn't a consolation, though, he knew. "If you haven't noticed, I'm a bit of a difficulty for most of my enemies. Problematic, if you will." A thorn in their sides.
"I..." errr, now he was the one without so many words. Further still, the prince stiffened and he released Thea's hands in order to hold his own together thoughtfully. Fully upright again, he watched her eyes and realized he was going to have to address the root of the issue, which was her feelings and longterm ambitions, not strictly his short-term safety. "I care. About so many things, now. Or, more than I can recall from my life before. You've helped me to this point. I wouldn't put myself in a position to bring you pain. Of all the things I care for, Thea, daughter of Fandral, is atop the heap." His light eyes were full of annoying affection and he offered the blond a hand before he stood, and helped her to as well.
"You will have what you wish," and that was all he'd say about that. The dark-haired royal leaned down and touched his lips to Thea's, then parted them to deepen the kiss as his hands took her face on either side. Loki withdrew slowly and for just a moment to speak. "Never shed a tear for me," he laughed breathlessly and went back to kissing her because she was delicious.
