Re: Frisson | 4-1-2019 | Afternoon
With Eva’s magical encouragement and the fond look her eyes were broadcasting in his direction, Thor wrapped the marital binding around Eva and Nate’s wrists and forearms. While he worked, the Allfather spoke the ceremonial words and traditional phrases about unions, honor, respect, easing pain, and only had to fill in the gaps with his known guesses a few times. Once secured, Thor placed his hand on the rope and the woven twine began to glow a warm amber color, which Illuminated Eva in a lovely way and added some much needed color to Nathaniel’s cheeks. “Regardless of what else we are to each other,” Thor began to go off script, hand still pressed on the rope. “You two are my family and I love you, both of you. And I’ve witnessed the love you have for each other. So...” Thor said with an emotional sigh. “With my blessing and the blessings of Allfathers before me... I bind your souls for the rest of time itself, you may... do whatever you’d like to each other,” he smirked, then smiled.
Nathaniel listened to the vows he knew better than Thor, but enjoyed the Allfather’s ability to add his charm into anything. Nate stared into Eva’s eyes even before Thor asked him to, and couldn’t suppress his rather ridiculous looking smile. No matter how much he tried to project his normal level of cool, he was unable. He loved Eva. This was the endgame with her from the beginning.
When Thor went far off book, Nate felt a chill from under his jacket. Thor’s words affected him more than anything else the other man had ever said. He nodded a thank you toward the Allfather and simultaneously ignored a sob from his son behind him. His eyes focused back onto Eva and his forehead moved to rest upon hers. “I’m going to kiss you now, for the first time as your husband. It will be even sweeter because I know we’ve bonded our very atoms togther. I love you,” he told her with a dangerous level of passion, then remained a man of his word and kissed his new wife.
Not to waste a moment of eveyone’s distractions, Thor lifted Stormbreaker from behind the desk. With the utmost grace and skill he used the axe to sever the glowing rope from Eva and Nate. “Blessed by me and Stormbreaker,” Thor added, “congratulations,” he wished and picked up the cut rope, which was whole once again.
