But, but- her ring. He'd given it to her when...
Okay, new ring good too... It gave her a chill, then it gave her a thrill. It was gorgeous. He'd been prepared... Her face, no doubt, gave away her inner-child who was swooning at the prince on his knee before her. Eva searched his dark eyes while her hand extended and met him. The ring was in place, but she hadn't given it another look.
Her body surged with romantic energy, her mind was swimming in gladness, and her heart was full of love for the man before her, who was... waiting for her answer. "I will," she promised, voice huskier than normal with emotion. Her hands moved from his and bent again to kiss Nate's forehead. "Arise," she said with a smirk against his skin, then stood at full height, waiting for her poetic, romantic gargoyle to join her. When he stood, she stared. She watched his face for the longest time. Eva's eyes hadn't left his since the kiss to his head had ended. Gradually, over the long seconds, a small smile pulled the corners of her thick lips upward. Tears came into her eyes. The room around them had faded away, a gray blur. Nate's image, however, particularly his eyes, was extra sharp. Tears fell and she stared harder yet.
At her exhale, which had been withheld for some time, a wave of energy spread throughout the room with the queen at its center, and the torches were snuffed, then relit as she drew in breath anew. Zap panted, and her tears flowed more freely, her smiling lips open for want of air. "It's real." Her shaking hand rose to touch the side of Nate's face and she rubbed his cheek with her thumb. Her eyes shut to help rid her of their tears and to curb some of the intensity between their shared gazes. Through wet lashes, Eva smiled at King Nathaniel then snapped her left-hand fingers. Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now began to play, magically, then she kissed her betrothed, locking their lips for longer than she'd locked their eyes. Her body soon began to sway, though, and their connection broke just before she took his hands and began to sing along with the song, urging her awkward wizard to dance.
