Re: Prodigal
"Will," Zap greeted-scolded lightly as he neared and put a box in her hand. Thor had written a haiku, apparently. Okay then. She looked then thing over as she could almost hear Qiana's cross-eyed ugly face she was pulling at Will, then proceeded to open without Thor's consent. The note:
unending love for you've given me greatest gift pales in comparison
A poet her husband was not. But still, she'd smiled until grinning at his attempt.
The box: a ring. It was a pearl wrapped in peacock feathers as a setting, with blue stones here and there throughout. Eva sighed with contentment at the gesture more than the ring (though it was a perfect choice from him to her, she believed). "Thank you for snooping, my monkey. You get extra bananas this week," she told Will as a reference to herself being the Wicked Witch. "Look," she held the box up over her head for Qiana to see it, too.
"That's... big." Tress kept combing, but she stared. "Right up your alley," the dresser teased (not physically, that was for special occasions). "Are you going to re-wrap it?" she asked with a smirk.
"No, but I'm definitely telling him Will brought it to me and not him," Eva grinned into the mirror, eyes meeting Omen's. "Bro code dashed."
