Re: Snowbird
"Doesn't anybody knock around here?" Brayden exclaimed from his entanglement with Astrid, the second time in minutes they'd been disturbed. Of course, it was Mateo, so the normally respectful-of-his-elders Rayd was less tethered by his father's harsh lessons.
It didn't matter, Mateo had launched himself on the bed and Rayd did whatever he could to keep Astrid from landing underneath him or on top of Mateo. Oh, and Torben was there. "God, 'Teo," Brayden started again, his voice a mixture of faux outrage and actually annoyance. "We're trying to do something really taboo here," he explained in an oddly frank way... which was kind of Brayden's bag. "It's hard enough without everybody bustin' in," he argued that they needed to be left alone to do something some people would forbid. Made perfect sense to Brayden. He was about to try and excuse himself and Astrid from the situation when Torben mentioned the demon, and Brayden realized they were probably done being alone for the night. "Where they find it?" he was interested, though he unapologetically did not remove his hands from Astrid. Though he wasn't forcing her to stay, if the invasion of her brothers made her wish to bolt... he understood.
