Re: Sirenic
Thor had just left the grieving mother's side after he'd promised her whatever small comforts he could provide with the knowledge that it would never be enough. The God of Thunder had also renewed his vow to destroy the monster several times before the wave of shimmery magic struck the Asgardian home. Briefly taken aback, Thor quickly exited the home - only to find Warpath laid out on the street. The magic was no doubt Eva's, but to what end? He didn't have to wait long, memories of their children and their grown appearances flooded his mind. Eva had aged their kids? Everyone's kids?
The king was contacted telepathically, and with nothing else to be done there, Thor agreed to the teleport. Mostly because he needed to see it with his own eyes. He appeared in his bedchambers just as Baldr had left. The Allfather stared at the nursery door for a moment with hesitation. Was this real? Was he about to see his children as adults?
Finally, Thor pushed open the barrier and saw the four people he loved the most gathered round into a large hug. Eva held her own in the middle, while Mateo, Torben, and Astrid clung to her. "Odin's beard," Thor began with his mouth slightly agape. "Could this be?" he asked still uncertain if his eyes had been cursed. He walked toward the huddle and instantly cast his arms about them. "My sweet..." he started, but somehow only laughed and cried simultaneously. "I love you all so much," he added for good measure. Somewhere from underneath the scrum, Eva's face was visible and Thor bent down to plant a kiss on her forehead. "They are fantastic and you've protected them..." Despite her methods and after his meeting with the grieving mother, Thor couldn't argue her actions. His children were safe and that was the important thing.
