Re: Sirenic
"Oh," the God of Light and Joy had stood and drawn his sword when he'd felt the ripple of mystic energy wash over the nursery. To his relief, there was no malice behind the wave, on the contrary, it was a defensive spell. One that he would surmise was cast by Eva, the Goddess of Motherhood - protector of children.
One moment an infant and toddler, the next, Baldr's niece and nephew were grown - and standing next to where they'd both been sleeping. The Odinson carefully sheathed his sword and stowed whatever baggage he owned about a maternal deity casting a powerful spell to protect children... at least this wasn't a secret. "Prince and Princess," Baldr bowed with an awfully paternal smirk on his face. Apparently, he'd had a significant hand in raising these two, something his newly expanded feelings told him. He was suddenly filled with pride, which was probably evident on his face when Eva arrived - with a massive Mateo.
"I gathered," Baldr told the queen, his lips still curled into a smile. "Of course," he'd collect Eva's brothers who had the unfortunate ability to act as Eva's backup batteries. He made his way to the exit and intentionally bumped shoulders with the much taller Mateo and shot the astral mutant a smile.
