"You are here, that is true," Skadi agreed, "But there is a difference between being here and being present." There was no heat in Skadi's tone, but she looked her in the eye when she said it.
"I cannot tell you what you should do." Skadi continued folding her hands on the table top. "This is your journey, after all." Skadi studied the girl, and resisted a sigh. She had hoped she could get the young woman to open up to her, but it didn't seem to be working. The ice queen wasn't known for her people skills, however. "I do think you might consider speaking with Fjolnir," she lifted a hand to silence the words that might leave the young woman's mouth. "I know he treated you poorly during Jol." she continued. "I have spoken to him about it. Fjolnir has his own set of quandaries. Perhaps you can help each other bury the bones of your individual contention."
