Re: Slay.
Orrin frowned slightly, not understanding what Troy was referencing, but the younger man quickly moved onto the subject of Helheim. "No, I can't imagine very much that would take root in such a place." It was a place of death after all, was it not?
The centaur's nostrils filled with the stench of death nearly at the same time. His mouth set in a grim line and he shook his head once at Troy. "I have witnessed much more gruesome sights than a dead animal." He supposed the same was true of the man, from what he'd heard about Midgard.
He moved with Troy, keeping a few steps behind him. Given his height, he could see further ahead, and he used to it his advantage now. The smell was getting stronger and Orrin's eyes narrowed as he saw the source of the stench. "It is not deer." he said, his voice grave.
The body of a young man was a few yards away, lying in a supine position on the ground. He was mangled and broken, his midsection a bloody mess. "It does not look like he has been dead for long," Orrin mused as he leaned down to get a closer look. Something had been eating the body, but it didn't look like anything the centaur had seen before. "Do you know this boy?"
