Re: Hello, friend.
"I know..." Eva said in response to her father who wasn't being super helpful but she loved anyway. Then, he mentioned Brian and she smirked, doing her best to hide it with her raised hand. "Tell them I said hello," Zap said after her face relaxed, faux bitterness in her tone. Not allowed, hmph.
Baldr replied and she smiled at him, seeing the white lie behind his dark, lovely eyes. "Mmhmm," the queen said, unconvinced, but appreciative. "I'm glad," she added when he said he wasn't worried. Distractions - she'd honestly assumed there'd be more of them considering the lot they'd surrounded themselves with. Ah, yes, then came Nat. Her royal fingers had sought out the glass and she gave a playful lip jut when the wine was retracted.
"Ho!" she laughed at the Widow's jest. "I am not," she assured, sounding more like a vow of will. Zap took the drink, took a swig, then took a glance at Baldr. "Good call," she said, giving him credit for Natasha's sudden appearance with a wink. "It's too bad Bruce couldn't have gone with them; Thor's second favorite battle buddy." Loki was first for some reason. "I'm fine," the mixed woman answered the Russian belatedly, and mostly as a lie. They both knew they would've rather been in the thick of things.
Meanwhile, Bruce stepped ever closer and eyed the two women for a few moments before even noticing his fellow wallflower, Baldr. "Your highness," the courtier said to the royal with a tip of his drink. "Jon," his eyes flicked to his pre-Avengers acquaintance. "I know we throw parties for everything here, but man..." he joked with a smirk. "Zap, chocolate?" He pointed to his glass that was filled with NOT wine, then pointed to the doors that led to the entry hall where lived a glorious chocolate fountain.
Eva smirked. "Qiana just headed that way," but her head bowed in many thanks to Dr. Banner.
