Re: Why worry? "Yes, we'll have to wait." ... "I have a few mock schedules you could take a look at."
They wouldn't have to wait. He was the worst. And the very best. "I love you," Eva told her beau while her jaw fought pushing him away as he kissed her neck. She did her best to keep herself exposed to her good kisser's efforts.
"I love you," she repeated, insistently. "What other people think of you is none of your damned business," she quoted RuPaul and drew back from Nate's mouth. Eva took his face in her hands. "You heard Thor," she recalled, "I'm 'beyond reproach'," the queen said darkly, having never believed that line. Her eyes softened, though. "Give me time, I'll work the best PR campaign since Eva Peron's and you'll have never looked better." Nate was innocent of villainy, of course, but if he had been, Zap could spin almost anything, and she would've for him.
After a long, long, long last kiss, her hands released Nate's face and she moved toward the edge of the bed and out of his grasp. "Come help me put the Allfather to bed. I need to get up and stretch anyway." And Miss Astrid needed to be peeked at by her mama. She turned and looked at Nate before he stood: "I'll look at your schedules tonight." She gave him a wink, knowing he'd be around to join her. There'd also be more pushing about a Hand, but she'd left that out on purpose to help push him the rest of the way to post-trial madness.
