If this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other. (1-11-19)
"Astrid," Zap cooed. She was sweaty, tired, and all the other classic descriptors of a woman who'd just had a baby, but there was a princess in her arms who was healthy and sleeping... therefore, nothing else mattered. "Your mama loves you," she told the baby softly, then brought the infant to her semi-dry lips and kissed her perfectly soft forehead. Thea had gone only minutes earlier and had instructed her to nurse and rest and other things Zap didn't need reminding of but appreciated just the same. It was the place where her and Thea's areas of expertise overlapped, she supposed - healing and motherhood.
The door of the bedroom opened and Zap lifted her chin to see who dared intrude. Oh, the father. That was perfectly fair. He'd been there during the event... but it turned out he didn't really have the stomach to be too involved. Now, they had a chance to be quiet and alone with their new baby. Soon, Mateo, then Torben could come see her, too. And her uncles. Eva smiled tiredly at Thor: "She looks like my dad..." she faux-lamented. "She just ate," again, Zap smirked. "Shhh," the goddess told him as she lifted the baby carefully to put her in her father's hands (where she fit just fine).
