Re: Let 'em say we're crazy!
"No," Nate answered, only a little defeated over the location of Helheim's leak. "But we believe it to be more of a systemic problem," he continued and made a note to jab Constantine somewhere over his cheekiness with Eva. That was Nathaniel's trained profession.
"Companions," he answered John's next question and vaguely gestured toward Stephen. "Three of the sorcerers will astral project," he explained then Nate's long fingers pointed to Thor. "And the Allfather will travel with us... and possibly a few other Asgardians," that was what they'd been discussing when Constantine arrived. "You'll want to see where we plan to house your body," Nate knew this would be top on Constantine's list, "I can show you that area and the people watching over you... when you're ready," was Nate rushing John out of the room? No. Was Nathaniel uncomfortable with so many angles of his life having this convergence at once? Yes. He, Stephen, and John, three points of the same triangle but hardly in agreement about much. Both other men knew things about Nathaniel he'd prefer Thor not know and Eva not be reminded of.
"We mean to travel to the troublesome realm and repair what damage we can," Thor chimed in again then took a seat next to his beloved. "Any aid you'd be willing or able to provide will be appreciated and handsomely rewarded," he explained probably needlessly, but it made the king more comfortable when asking a man to possibly sacrifice himself.
"Don't worry, John is very much Han Solo before the Death Star battle," Nate shared with a small smirk.
"Ah yes, the mercenary type," Thor nodded along. He'd been studying Midgardian lore with Mateo recently and the Star Wars had been featured prominently. Thor glanced to Eva, only for the smallest amount of assurance that he'd correctly deciphered Nate's words. "That's acceptable, I judge no one who uses their talents for a good cause and to better themselves," the Son of Odin could hardly cast a foul eye toward an honorable mercenary... hopefully this Constantine was, in fact, honorable. Though, he knew Eva would not have allowed his involvement were he a risk. His hand moved to his wife's leg and the Allfather smiled toward her, once again progress seemed to be leaning forward, though much still needed to be decided. "What say you, my queen?" he teased with a grin. "Baldr shall remain with you, but what should be done with Loki?" Thor trusted his brother, but whether or not the trickster was brought along or remained with the very pregnant Eva was ultimately her decision.
