Re: Halt! Who are you?
The glow around her could be felt, she had to admit. Credit it to whatever source, she felt the warmth of her family both inside and out. Thor's words had helped - his excitement in the progress of Asgard truly made her happy. That was what she wanted - to see him happy. He'd had so many troubles weigh on him in recent years, and tenfold in recent months. As he held to her, and then to Sif's hand, she'd leaned against the God of Thunder in a small hug as the others lifted hands and glasses. Sif and Thor were still holding hands. And still. Just when they parted Baldr had tapped Eva and put food in her hands, and the Cheyenne woman smirked at him. "Just like you," she said affectionately as she accepted the 'sammie'. Then came the truly delicious part: a God of Joy jolt. She used to boast that hers were powerful... She felt a wave of peace, which was actually different from the normal sort of high Baldr could provide to a troubled soul. Their eyes met and she took a bite then closed her eyes in acknowledgment of what he'd done for her.
But Nate... and Thor... and Nate again. It tickled her to see that Thor had made Nate nearly laugh; surprised him, even. Luckily for her, she'd just taken a bite of her sandwich when Nate explained that the meeting had gone poorly. That would explain why she still felt the presence of Strange in the realm. Eva sighed and put her food on the table. Sif's question was valid. "It sits in chaos. With Hela gone, there is a struggle for power amongst demons and other malevolent beings. When she broke her seal, she left the realm open from the inside for the first time in hundreds of years... as well as without a ruler. So, negative forces have been escaping and causing problems," she paused to emphasize the vast interpretation of the word 'problems', then continued, "throughout all the realms. And probably beyond." Of course Freyr was drunk.
