Re: Pretty things...
Skadi grinned in response to Qiana's words about Freyr. As out there as her husband could be at times, she couldn't have asked for a better one. It seemed she had made Qiana uncomfortable at her next query. That had not been her intention.
"It is good to have someone." she said, offering another smile. Her eyes flicked to Orrin, who had chosen that moment to look out the window. She smirked. "One person's love isn't to be compared to another's." she said sagely. "Some are lucky enough to find it, some spend their entire lifetime trying to find it." Be it in a romantic partner or another sort.
"Well," she rose out of her chair and stood to her full height and descended the stairs, to stand next to the much shorter woman. "Are you hungry?" It was about lunchtime and it would be improper to send the Midgardian home without sustenance.
Orrin's eyes widened when Queen Skadi mentioned his talks with Freyr. That was...unexpected. He wasn't going to lie to himself about the feelings he felt for Qiana. But he also wasn't going to jeopardize what they had as friends by spilling his heart out to her, either. But he would spend what time he could with her, nonetheless. Tress turned to look at him and he smiled back at her, only a little foolishly. After she turned her attention back to Skadi, he silently willed his heart to slow in its pounding.
