Re: Influencer...
Nathaniel had a smirk when David didn't believe his story about Brayden and the bra, then feigned mild offense when the woodworker related it to his spirits. "Assuming it's a lady's undergarment," Nate scolded David lightly. "How heteronormative of you," he added with faux judgement in his eyes.
"Anyone who has the patience to carve this," Caltrop's hand gestured toward the chair as if the wood was radiating heat. "Would probably make a good squire," Nathaniel said as a complement.
"Pity," he told Auster about his time in the woods. Although, Nathaniel wasn't entirely sure if they were on the same wavelength.
"No, not much has changed," he explained then greedily moved to enjoy David's present. His back curved to match the wood and Nate's expression shifted from confusion to comfort almost immediately. "That's fantastic," he told the other man. Nate adjusted, mostly to experience the range of positions that would be comfortable in his new chair. He finally settled with his leg bent and propped up on his other knee. "The expected things, being addressed differently... that sort of thing," he continued his thoughts from a moment earlier. In reality, several things had changed. He was taken more seriously by the Asgardian high class and his ideas weren't immediately second-guessed by people who wondered why he was even there. Nathaniel loved it, but those things weren't necessarily things he wanted to admit to David.
"I mostly feel like I'm more helpful to Eva," Nate let slip then eyed the carpenter. "That's how you do it, isn't it?" he stood once more, even with David - the two men being virtually the same height. "It's those lovely blue, honey-tinted eyes..." he examined more closely. "Well played, Auster," Nate moved away from the other man and toward the door of his chamber. "Would you like to go get some tea and we could talk about your forest issues?" Nathaniel offered, oddly sincerely. Perhaps the gift had worked.
