Re: Pretty things...
"Lady Qiana," Orrin greeted her with a smile. He was glad to see the...well, she looked a bit like a snow fairy, if he was to be honest. But she pulled off the look rather well, he thought appreciatively. His eyebrows rose in curiosity as he took a step forward and bent down to inspect the box she held up. It was customary to inspect gifts to the royal family, even if someone as lovely as Qiana was the giver.
"Those are exquisite." He said, his tone sincere as his eyes met hers. "You should be proud." Not just of the shoes. He'd seen the Asgardian queen's attire.
"Queen Skadi does cut a very awesome figure. Admiring her will not slight you." She was one of the strongest and bravest women he knew. "I am well," he answered, straightening, then he gave her a smile. "Admittedly better since seeing you, I must say." He thought her smiling eyes could warm even the coldest day. He took a step towards the door, intending to announce Qiana's arrival, but stopped to look down at her, a question on his lips.
No, now wasn't the time. He gave her a reassuring smile before he knocked on the door lightly. He heard Skadi's voice and moved back to open the door for Qiana. "My lady." he raised his hand, indicating that she should enter and then preceded to step in the room behind her.
Skadi sat upon her throne, her light eyes surveying the visitor who was dwarfed by the centaur behind her. Queen Evangeline's dresser was not the person she was expecting to see.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of this unexpected visit?" Skadi asked, amusement in her voice.
