Re: Health is the greatest gift.
Their faces touched and Eva's hand came up over Nate's where it rested on her cheek and the two of them took a few moments of quiet breathing before he spoke. The words resonated through her body. She answered with a "Mmmm," but felt her reflection of his feelings was conveyed perfectly. She couldn't help thinking that the events of the day had left him raw, and a bit vulnerable, so it was hard to judge if their private moments would be as intimate and frank as the current one. Either way, she was happy as they nuzzled.
He was speaking directly into her ear, explaining his earlier concerns. Her heart might as well have stopped when Nate mentioned Brayden. It was a sweet thought, and of course, she loved him, but... "I spoke with Thor before we were together, days ago." The goddess smirked and kissed Nate's big, delicious nose. "He's happy if I'm happy, and he knows this isn't just about sex." It was clear to anyone, apparently. They had a connection that ran deep. Her hand came up and she stroked Nate's jaw, thumb moving over the side of his mustache and lips. "I know it's sudden, all of it, and it might seem weird to use titles, but we're a family and we have been, and even if we aren't," married, "traditional, I'll be whatever Brayden needs me to be." Zap smiled finally and then scooted forward in her chair more so that she could pull her... second mate into a hug. It'd given her pause at first, but now that she'd considered their relationship and its progression and her feelings for Brayden... it had all come to a fairly logical conclusion: she and Nate were partners, now by most all meanings of the term. "Let's go, c'mon."
