Re: Boi-oi-oing.
Oh lovely. She found herself holding onto Loki's arm as they descended the ramp down into the cavern below. Whatever Thea had been expecting to see down there, she wasn't sure, but it hadn't been. It was both awe inspiring as well as daunting. Loki's explanation of he Bifrost not being available didn't surprise Thea. It wouldn't be ideal if it could reach that place.
"O-"Loki jumped down into the darkness. "-kay." she said to no one. She gave the copy of Loki an indignant look before taking a few deep breaths to prepare herself to put herself. She was was goddess in her own right now and she knew the fall would't kill her if Loki failed to catch her, but it wouldn't feel very good. After one last glance at Minor, she stepped off the ledge. Thea never thought she'd enjoy the feeling of Loki's arms about her, but she found her own arms going around his neck and holding on tight. "Thank you." After he released her, she looked at the narrow bridge before them.
The cavern looked a lot deeper now that they were down into it. And it went even deeper still, it seemed. She kept her back ramrod straight as she moved towards the bridge. It was narrower than it had looked form up above, only room for one person. She moved slowly, not looking down at the vast darkness below her. The smell coming from the tree was almost overwhelming as she got closer to it.
She reached the platform and spared a glance back at Loki, who looked much smaller than usual and on edge. Thea looked towards the tree and saw the Basin of Sigyn glinting invitingly. The blonde woman reached out a tentative hand and touched it. She could feel the power that ran through the bowl. It almost felt like it was vibrating. As soon as she lifted the relic, she heard a high-pitched scream come from below her. It was soon followed by several others.
The woman tucked the bowl safely in the pouch at her side and made her way to the bridge. It seemed even longer than it had seemed before. Thea moved as quickly as she could, trying her best to ignore the chaos around her. The dead were coming from everywhere. They came out of each level of the pit and they were climbing up the walls from below. Luckily for her, Thea had always had pretty good balance, so she trusted her feet as she ran towards Loki and Minor.
