Re: Planning for the future.
"Yuliest of bitches," Shadowcat confirmed like a badass before she immediately stepped off her attempted ride on the cool train and began correcting Jimmy about his misogynistic, inaccurate remarks about yule and why she'd asked for help. "Those are actually Midgardian-" sigh. "No, no plastic reindeer or string lights." Kitty shook her head and smirked at the Apache.
"Thanks," she said after his brief (but effective) compliment. "You look good pretty much all the time, so," at least she was being honest with herself. Jimmy also kinda prided himself on his effortless heartthrob vibe. It wasn't necessarily her 'thing', but it had proven of use at the wedding, hadn't it? "Just holly and mistletoe and pinecones," and some other things that tended to make her sneeze, "for now."
"Some of my mother's family were from Sweden before settling in Poland, I spent an entire summer and autumn studying yule and other Nordic holidays and traditions before my grandfather put the kibosh on it," Kitty chuckled to herself. "He was hardcore." Rest him. "So do you remember in Harry Potter how the candles floated? We're just going to place these on the floor along the halls," she pointed to boxes of so many yuletide colored wax sticks. "I think Freyr's going to do the honors at the opening... ceremony? Whatever it is, they just need to be in place. Then," Katherine pointed to some blue-hued garlands, "the juniper is going up high by request of the queen." Eva liked the blue, she'd learned. "It'll probably smell the place up when the candles warm up floating near the berries. Well, they're not really berries, they're actually cones. Most yule-related plants are coniferous."
