Re: The moon glows round and bold.
"No, please." Baldr greeted the queen with a head nod in lieu of a full bow. "I used to value my solitude," especially within nature or a beautiful moon lit evening, "but now..." After suffering in isolation, Baldr welcomed the visitor.
He offered Eva a solemn smile when she announced her purpose and referenced their trials. "I wouldn't even consider them an inconvenience." Though, the dark one's questions were certainly trying at times. When his sister-in-law produced the blade and spoke of blood magic, Baldr's expression turned grave. His eyes remained on the knife, even when he moved to join her on the chaise.
"My memory is fragmented..." he began, once he was seated on the plush furniture. "More so than the others." Years captive in the underworld hadn't done his mind any favors. "I know the reason you can't stab me with the knife is because of my mother's magic." She'd had attempted to protect him from something, he was also sure that something was Loki. "Blood magic is powerful and unpredictable." Baldr lifted the knife by the handle, then enclosed the blade inside of his other fist. The pain came several moments after, a testament to the weapon. He released his hand and passed the knife back to Eva, handle first. Light shown from the slash on Baldr's palm and after a white hot flash of heat and searing pain, the wound healed. "Take care that you aren't doing exactly what somebody else wants you to."
