Re: The moon glows round and bold.
"Chili?" Zap asked her nine-year-old, faux-scandalized. Her posture relaxed and she pouted, "Invite me next time?"
"Sure," he said, unaffected by her fake shock or her pretend sadness.
"Don't call them that," she said in unison with Logan and reached across to squeeze his hand with amusement while she laughed silently, then sat back up in her seat. Talk about what? Eva's eyes shifted to the side. "Yule? Sure!" Logan knew bits and pieces about the Baldr situation, but Mateo had heard enough white noise on the topic to last him until his teen years.
"Was Thor's dad Santa?"
"Some people think so," Zap said, a laugh staying down in her belly. "A lot of myths and stories were drawn from Odin to St. Nick."
"So Santa is real."
"No, not the Santa that you see on Earth."
"But sorta."
"Yes." The queen finally gave in to peer pressure and looked to Logan. "You're going to love some of the Yule traditions - I promise. It's really gross. Lots of meat and beer," Zap said, rather un-queenly. He probably knew a lot about the traditions, considering his Canadian roots and his passport stamps.
