Re: Bringing those new musings...
Some things were beneath her, just like all those who tried to do good, but any given magical feat she attempted wasn't beneath her until she tried and succeeded. "As am I," she said, emphasizing each of the three small words as she agreed about Odin. Guilty until proven innocent. "Sorry." No apology needed, she'd known what she'd signed up for.
Zap's right eyebrow slowly crept up as the good Mr. Zale began a new topic: Helheim. Neat. She cleared her throat, interest peaked, "Unsettling?" she could easily imagine. "Why you?" her head cocked back, not because she doubted his abilities, but because she hadn't done a damned thing that was truly useful in this whole ordeal (or since aiding in reversing Thanos' mess). "I can go, I'm the queen of it now, technically. I should probably see for myself. I don't have to go alone, of course..." She could literally drag Troy and Jimmy to hell.
In the reality of her selfish thought process, she was just thirsty for a thrill. Yes, it was her job now to be regal and focus on the people, but if there was a problem within the Nine Realms, wasn't it her duty to investigate and make a preemptive strike? She made a mental note to do some resting (at least a little) before attempting a blood ritual. Some magic was a breeze. Some was extremely taxing, after all. "I'm pretty persuasive," the queen said confidently of her task concerning Baldr. "That answer will have to come after we break into his memory, I guess. Because none of us has found anything about a battle or struggle involving the blond light deity." She might've given a lip-flapping exhale had she been alone with anyone else, but Nate was, fuck it. She breathed out and relaxed her mouth and let it show that she was trying to put her ducks in a row. There was a lot to organize and work toward. Their magical plates were full. "Wait-" her brow furrowed, "what if his memories aren't there to break into?" His reference to Cedric Diggory and his featured novel had stirred a curious thought in the Goddess of Magic.
"Could Odin have had a Pensieve?" Something similar, she meant. A lot of the lore in modern fantasy fiction was directly based on Norse (and trickled down British) myths. "I'm just putting it out there for consideration - if the memories were taken and not erased, it could be a whole different ball game." Her eyes widened briefly at Nate with the possibility and there was obvious excitement behind them. "I'll get Pétr on it." And she could ask Thor, himself. He had a wide range of knowledge about the magical artifacts his father kept. And so did Loki...
