Re: Bringing those new musings... "Ten points to Slytherin for those robes though."
Nathaniel mimicked the popular meme and pretended he was going to correct Eva, only to put his finger back down. Nate was a Ravenclaw and she knew that, but he understood the joke was still funny.
"Okay, sorry, it's all out of my system."
"Doubtful." He chimed in quickly but didn't want to distract them from their true mission.
"You sensed what I sense."
He nodded in agreement, though his ability was juvenile compared to Zap's. Her continued denial of this fact was... appreciated.
"He's good, he's honest, but he can't tell us anything else, and Loki's hiding in the broom closet - also someone who can't tell us much else."
"Almost disgustingly good," Nate editorialized. "Though he can tell us much more than he believes."
When Eva explained her idea and her momentary walk though Frigga's shoes, Nate listened and considered her words carefully. He scanned his memory for a ritual that might be able to do what she wanted. "Perhaps, but that parlor trick is beneath you," Nate explained when the chair crept up behind him. Of course, he sat and was mindful of the robes Zap enjoyed so much.
Caltrops was enthusiastic his queen was on the same page, though it didn't show... too much. "I'm still convinced Odin is the source of this mystical shroud and I'm positive this all involves Loki," Nate told her, then gently crossed his legs and placed his interlocked fingers on his lap. "I didn't want to be so blunt with the Allfather..." He sensed the king wasn't quite ready to condemn his father and brother, which Nate understood. "But Baldr is certainly convinced and will demand Thor to act. And I don't envy the king trapped between the 'reformed' brother he knows and the innocent brother he just met." Which was why they needed to break the spell, asap. "Sorry," Nate didn't mean to remind the queen of the upcoming family brawl which may ruin the celebration of her nuptials.
"Beyond that," Nate signaled he'd pivoted in his thought. "Baldr's insights about the underworld since Hela's destruction are... unsettling." He shifted in the chair and locked eyes with Eva. "I believe it is essential we gather as much information on that realm as possible." He had ideas, but she probably wouldn't like them. "Someone, possibly myself, needs to travel there."
"Oh," Nate changed direction again because that was just how his scatterbrained mind worked. "I will find a ritual for you and your warriors..." Nate sighed, annoyed at himself. "Troy and Jimmy." He corrected himself, "a ritual you can perform on their blood. But... you'll have to convince Baldr to do it. Our new Cedric Diggory is impervious to weapons." He gestured with his hands already anticipation the next question. "How did he get that scar then? I don't know." Nate admitted uncomfortably.
