Re: What it is!
Thor didn't fidget, because it was beneath kings, but the thunder god did shift uncomfortably in his chair when Loki and Frigga were so quickly the topic of discussion. Though, he could not deny he had expected it. "I don't understand," Thor began, a polite signal to the council to be quiet. "Baldr says he's the son of Odin and Frigga. Frigga the Goddess of love and blessed with foresight was not aware of her own son?" He stated the obvious because he felt the need to reiterate the point. "He rots in the underworld and Frigga does nothing? Despite Loki's considerable power and talents for deception, I don't believe even he would have the ability to hide Baldr from her."
"It would be helpful if we could ask Loki himself," Nate said, convinced that the trickster deity was more involved than Thor was prepped to admit at this juncture. "His disappearance is... telling." His gaze shifted from the Allfather to his queen, and the pair shared a quiet moment of eye contact. Hopefully, Caltrops dark eyes conveyed his desire for a private rendezvous with Eva.
"Agreed." Thor answered Nathaniel, the discomfort evident in his voice. "And I believe I will require your assistance, Heimdall." But the seer had known that before Thor even got out of bed that morning.
"How did Baldr end up in hell, he shed any light on that?" Forge asked, curious how a second child of Odin was swept under the rug.
"His memory is hazy," Nathaniel answered Jon, "He spent centuries alone in the darkness - I'm surprised his mind isn't more fractured." He admitted, an oddly sympathetic tone in his voice. "He has a tremendous scar on his chest from a wound that would have easily killed a mortal." Nate offered, another mystery in a series of them.
"I'd like to take a look at that." Jimmy chimed in a rather awkward moment. "What?" He shrugged, "I stab a lot of things. I bet I can figure out what caused it," he said confidently.
"Alright." Thor had heard enough for the moment. "As Heimdall said, we divide and conquer." And so it would be done. "But I don't want this to interfere with Alfheim's festivities, which we are honored by." He told the other king, who looked as though he'd begun to take offense at their lack of excitement. "You've got an island full of Midguardians who have never known the pleasures of your world, Freyr. I hope you are prepared."
