"Hello," Eva said to her male courtier, one of her advisors, and at the present especially, a man of utmost importance. She smiled at Nathaniel from slightly behind him. He'd been staring off, drink in hand, and she wasn't sure if he'd taken a gulp yet. But he hadn't been startled. "You might've noticed our new guest." Not because of any to-do or fanfare, but just because Nate had a tendency to pick up on magic movements. Her face relaxed a bit from the pleasantries of greeting and she stepped much closer to the other sorcerer.
Her head tilted forward, motioning for him to walk with her, and she rested her hand on his forearm when it was offered. Their image probably evoked the memory of Snape and McGonagall at the Yule Ball, she mused silently before diving in with the matter at hand. "He's the son of Odin, he's been trapped with Hela for some time. Now that she's dead he was able to escape. We found him on Alfheim today. Apparently. Jimmy and Troy went to get Odin's sword that disappeared, and Heimdall brought the sword, the man, and the warriors back. Thor didn't think it was worth cluing me in until after the wedding, but now that I've talked to him," she paused and accepted a side hug from a courtier, and shook a hand or two as they circled the edge of the room. "I know he's telling the truth. He calls himself Baldr, and he blames Loki for trapping him. He was able to summon a weapon of Odin's..." she sighed, clearly weary from the weight of it all.
"When I touched his hand, I felt a barrier - a shroud. It stood between him and Thor, like a blindfold. I haven't been able to find Loki to press the issue, but that's the first thing I plan to do tomorrow." Where her arm was linked with the taller man's, Eva gave him a little mystical insight into what she saw when she felt Baldr's magical energy. "I can't see the circumstances - how and why he was sent away, but I know he's telling the truth. Do you think this was Odin's doing? Thor felt it might've been. I doubt Frigga would've seen fit to cast such an unforgiving spell..." being that she'd been the Goddess of Motherhood. If anyone could help her peel some layers off the mystery at hand, it was Nate. He was a father, her advisor, and an expert at blood magic - which was why she had so much trust in him, in general. Her own magical abilities had started out (literally rooted) in blood magic. If they couldn't untangle the web, she'd seek out the Sorcerers Supreme.
