Re: You get to choose what monsters you want to slay. "Your diagnosis is pregnancy."
Frankie had heard the words when they left Jo's mouth, but was having trouble responding. A torrent of emotions washed over her - a raw blend of euphoria and sorrow mixed with a shred of pure fear. They released themselves in the form of tears that poured down her face. Mix's hand shot out to grab onto Jo's and she squeezed it hard.
She swallowed a sob and when she spoke her voice trembled. "He should be here." Her free hand moved to rest on her stomach lightly before she raised her eyes to Jo's. "What do I do?" she implored, panic hitting her like a freight truck. "I can't do this on my own." She focused on her breathing for a long moment, trying to gather her thoughts. Her eyes flicked to the door where she knew Weenie was waiting outside. It was true that David was gone, but she wasn't completely alone.
A baby... a baby.
"We can let Weenie in here..." she managed a shaky laugh as she saw Weenie's zaftig form all but pressed against the glass of the door. "Someone besides us should know the good news, don't you think?"
