Re: Shadowcat / Cosmo
An airport? In Asia... Japan. They were in Tokyo. Kitty was honestly surprised - a little bit. Mikhail was normally abnormal. This was pretty abnormal. She walked closer to him, mostly to keep from getting separated and costing the school hundreds of dollars. Mikhail spoke, she listened; it was just how things worked. She could truly see why he would be attracted to this place.
"It's a good place." She told him, simply, feeling as though they'd had quite a Book/Kaylee moment. Her shoulders rose and fell slowly, the phaser feeling rejuvenated by the truth there was to what Mikahil had observed - the place did feel alive. It was 2am, but there were still people coming and going and shopping and eating and sleeping and... living. "You're right," she offered the Russian. It was probably the second time that day she'd surprised him. She hadn't lost her spirit, but she'd certainly gained some perspective. Her actions, the domino effect, and so on. Partly, Shadowcat felt as though this really was where Mikhail disappeared to most often. "I want to go up there someday," she said, staring up through a starry window in the ceiling of the terminal. "Hank explained my mutation was like being without gravity, but I really want to know how it feels for real." She was still holding Cosmo's hand. "Sorry." She released. Then, she surprised herself. "I'm not sorry," she said, as she reclaimed the man's hand and began to spin under his arm and move her feet to the bumping Japanese pop song that was playing over the speaker system.
