Re: Shadowcat / Zap
"Fine," Kitty answered, knee-jerk. The arrival of Mikhail hadn't even phased the phaser. She was in her own world. A knitted-brow, hoofing it, somewhere private world. "I can't cancel class," she said, throat growing tight. Katherine Anne Pryde was not going to cry today. She'd cried yesterday. And the night before, when she tried to sleep and failed. "I-" Why was he paying attention to her?! Why was he asking about her feelings!? She didn't want to think about her feelings. Or to know that someone cared. She didn't deserve someone to care about her - or about this. It was awful.
"I can't lose Eva!" Kitty's already-big brown eyes were magnified by the pooling tears as she looked up at Mikhail and prepped for a breakdown. She glanced either way down the hall and when she realized they were more or less alone, she cleared her throat and went on. "We've lost so many people... and I miss The Professor," they'd all but lost him to Apocalypse, "she's..." sniffle, "I just love her. I don't know why I did it. I wish I could take it back, but I can't!"
