Zap, Nate, Thor, Triple Talk
Contentment is the greatest wealth. [info]z_a_p 2018-11-15 09:06 pm (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select It had been days since she and Nate expressed their feelings. Now they needed to clear the air. There sat the Allfather and queen Eva, awaiting Nate's arrival before they discussed the topic of romantic endeavors. The married couple had been chit-chatting and laughing quietly of other topics such as the thunderous (literally) lovemaking from the night before, the precious face of their son, the fact that Loki was still alive, and other amusing, beloved topics. When Nate arrived in his usual stalking manner, they quieted but smiles remained on both royals' faces. "Good morning," Eva greeted him, and stood to meet Nate halfway with a hug. Zap kissed his cheek and motioned for him to sit down before she sat again. "You're the best potato," she confirmed affectionately to her strapping, pessimistic companion. (Reply to this)(Thread)

[info]nathaniel_zale 2018-11-16 10:14 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Nate couldn't help the sensation he'd been summoned for some sort of bizarre job interview. Except he'd somehow ended up applying for the third slot in a royal marriage. What happened to the days when kings and queens would simply have affairs and grow more and more bitter toward their significant others? As he girded his loins for his entrance, he suddenly felt reminiscent for those days. "Good morning, your majesties," Nathaniel greeted them both with a slight head bow to Thor - who seemed to be in a particularly good mood. The darker man took that as a good sign, especially when Eva kissed his cheek. "I certainly strive for that," he told her and took a moment of pretend pride in his potato status.
"So..." Thor began with a wide grin on his face. "The standard contract is fairly simple. After you took my lovely wife to bed, it is now my duty to hunt you down and attempt to kill you in gladiatorial combat. Should you survive, you'll be deemed worthy," the Allfather explained and casually took a sip of his wine.
"Pardon?" Nate asked for clarification with his eyes as much as his lips.
"Bed, hunt, combat, worthy," Thor repeated. "All fairly common. Did you not explain this?" he questioned his wife, who had returned to his side and he'd started petting gently.
"Alright," Nate smirked as though he was in on the joke and silently hoped there was a joke to be in on. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)

[info]princesa_zelda 2018-11-16 10:20 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "I thought I'd allow an air of mystery," Zap told Thor as she laid her hand over his until he moved it to her back. She smirked at Nate finally and motioned once again for him to sit down. "Relax," the queen encouraged. Her eyes fell slightly closed as she looked upon Caltrops with mirth. "No fighting, no death," she confirmed after Nate finally put his butt in a chair. "That isn't how I want to remember you..." The smirk turned to a grin after a glance at the blond man and she leaned forward in her seat, elbows on her knees. "You don't have to do anything - with me or otherwise. I'm happy you haven't fled in terror," she half-jested. "I just thought we should have an open discussion. I have a few questions, so I'm sure both of you might." Eva shot Nate a wink and a magical caress to his thigh to help ease his mind and maybe even his rigid posture. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
Re: Contentment is the greatest wealth. [info]pirate_angel 2018-11-16 10:24 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Thor's grin relaxed when Eva removed the tension in the air, most of it. Being the wise King of Asgard (nobody called him that) Thor felt a bit rudderless in this situation. While they'd chosen to keep the more traditional Asgardian wedding vows, that still didn't help the fact that Thor had never been married before. "When Eva first discussed her fondness for you, I assumed my involvement would be rather limited," Thor admitted. "But Eva and I have agreed secrets should be held to a minimum."
Nathaniel was indeed put at ease by Eva's words and caress, but mostly by the aura of warmth she constantly exuded. "Never," he responded to her notions of his departure. "But yes, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have questions," he agreed despite the fact the mostly secretive adviser wasn't necessarily looking forward to sharing feelings. "Perhaps..."
"Eva should start," Thor interrupted with a smirk because it seemed only fair. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
Re: Contentment is the greatest wealth. [info]princesa_zelda 2018-11-16 10:26 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select Her tight-lipped smile widened when Thor interrupted Nate. "I know you two haven't chosen each other-" she exhaled a single laugh, "but we've all worked together so well so far, and not one of us suffers from self-esteem issues." They were all confident and experienced, she doubted jealousy would ever be an issue. "That said... I hope we can still spend time together, with our children and friends in the same," she waved her hand to signify her search for the word she wanted, "harmonious way." Eva's smile was hopeful as she looked between the level-headed men who she loved. Her eyes landed on Nate then: "I feel like we should use discretion in public settings." Her eyes shifted to Thor. "I don't want anyone thinking there's a problem in our marriage, or that it's been weakened in any way." It could make them seem vulnerable or lacking in faith - as if the cornerstone of the new Asgardian society was cracked. That wasn't a rumor she wished to purport. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
Re: Contentment is the greatest wealth. [info]caltrops 2018-11-16 10:31 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "Yes, discretion," Nate chimed in albeit probably at a telling place. "Not that I..." Nathaniel started to clarify his words before he relaxed and realized it probably wasn't necessary. They both understood how private a person Caltrops was, especially compared to the extroverted royals. "Perhaps our behavior has been a bit reckless," he admitted with a smirk that did not exude regret.
"This is a relatively simple situation," the Allfather suddenly decided, his hand still squarely on Eva's back. He'd been mindlessly massaging his queen during their chat. "Eva is my wife and Queen of Asgard, she is above reproach," and that was how she would remain. "Her royal highness has chosen you and if you decide yourself worthy of her..." Thor's grin widened because he understood the full ramifications of that statement much better than Nathaniel did. "You are indeed a lucky man," his devious smile turned fonder then. "And of course, I know my wife and I imagine there will be a time for a meeting of the three of us," his eyebrow raised but the Allfather was subtle like a thunderstorm.
"I know I'm worthy," Nate responded with the normal amount of confidence the cocky wizard swaggered about with. When Thor moved on to the notion of a 'meeting', Nate realized he was not speaking of meetings such as the current one. "Oh," Nate had picked up what Thor had put down. He'd also assumed Eva's and his relationship would be separate from the royal marriage. Fortunately for Eva, the broody man was not shy about the topic. "Is that true?" Nate inquired and his eyes narrowed onto Eva. He took his turn with a magical caress on her thigh because even though Nate was greedy he understood the benefits of sharing in certain cases. Re: Contentment is the greatest wealth. [info]zakiya 2018-11-16 10:41 am (local) (link) DeleteFreezeScreenTrack This Select "No, it's been two days and you've been your usual, disconcerting self." Eva corrected Nate. "Unless you're talking about the Jol party when I leaked all over during our dance." Super naughty, she thought, sarcastically with an ironic bite to her lower lip as if it'd been a lover's tango instead of an unfortunate waltz. Thor spoke again. 'Above reproach'. That was sweet and wholly inaccurate, Eva thought. He kept talking, though, so she didn't argue at the moment. "Are you implying I'm a deviant?" Zap's head cocked back as she looked to Thor, obviously not actually offended. She leaned over and took a handful of cropped beard so she could pull Thor toward her for a kiss. After he was released, Eva looked away from the king and back to the adviser.
"'Oh'?" she questioned his response. "Oh?" Zap repeated as if he'd said something wildly offensive. How dare he question Thor's implied threesome! "What did you hear?" she asked, face filled with faux bewilderment and avoidance. Her posture relaxed and she sighed. "I don't know," though she didn't deny it. "We can walk that path when we get to it." She stood, and motioned for Nate to come to her. "You have as much say in all this as anyone. You don't have to agree to things out of obligation," the goddess told her business-like mortal. "This is about the two of us," Eva reaffirmed as she met Nate and took his hands. The pregnant woman rose up on her tip toes and pressed her forehead to Nate's. "I'm sorry if this took away some of the intrigue," she grinned and gave him a nuzzle before she stole a kiss. "Separation of church and state?" she said through a devilish grin.
