Jane laughed, "Men have a habit of doing that." She thought back on getting to know Erik, learning how to work with him. Up until she had met him she had been used to flying solo on her research. It was only the suggestion of he professor that she work with him to further her knowledge and train her in the discipline of scientific endeavor. At first they had clashed heads, both being stubborn and headstrong, but soon they grew to appreciate what the other could contribute. Since then, they had pretty much been best friends and he had supported her when she published some of her more...outlandish theories which were widely frowned upon by the wider scientific community. She frowned and realised that Erik must have been involved somehow in the machinations of Loki's plan what with his involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D.
"I don't suppose you know what happened to my friend Erik Selvig do you? He must have been around here when all of this went down," Jane figured. She felt she had a good rapport going with Natasha, maybe even the start of a really good friendship which she was sorely in need of.
