After their brief meeting on the first day Betsy and Maria had apparently decided to stick together while America had or instead opted to venture off solo in hopes of finding more answers. The conversation had been brief before she'd rocketed into the sky but it weighed on her mind regardless. Betsy seemed well intentioned - trying to ease minds and make peace - and the Maria character seemed more invested in self preservation with her limited ability set than in the wellness of those around her. They seemed an interesting pair, and America wasn't entirely sure she wanted anything to do with either of them personally, but something in her own nature wouldn't let them just perish without a second thought either. It was frustrating to have a desire to protect people you didn't even know, and had no idea if they were going to stab you in the back or not, but..... Somehow, it ultimately didn't matter. Regardless of her thoughts, America had promised she'd check in with them, and she wasn't about to break her word. Especially, after the conversation over the network with that Manuel guy - who seemed a bit of a prick - and that Peggy chick - who was all too easily pushed over for someone who presented so paranoid at first. While she didn't know Betsy and Maria, she still knew them better than these other assholes. Clearly, checking in with Maria and Betsy could kill two birds with one stone. She'd check in, and drop some hint about if she didn't check in on day three there might be trouble about. Then again, if Peggy was offering openly across the public post about where to meet and when, it might not be a terrible idea to mention the meet up too. America hadn't fully decided either way how to approach this matter as she came to a landing around where she thought the other women should be. Straightening out her clothes a frown pulled at her lips while eyes lingered over the area. Supposedly, they should be around here, right? |
