Paranoid Meetings Characters: Peggy Carter, America Chavez, Manuel de la Rocha, Victor Von Doom Where: Near the Building Peggy and Victor Von Doom holed up in at the beginning. What: A small meeting was announced over the network and now Peggy waits to see if anyone shows. When: Day 3, just after dawn. Rating: PG
Despite the controversy between her and Victor about the fact that she announced a meeting a day after she said she wouldn't, the 36 hours of monitoring after their initial crash didn't give Peggy enough information to satisfy. Maybe it was impatience, but if they ran out of water she would regret not having started searches sooner. So, she stood by her decision and told Victor he could join them or not, but she would be standing by waiting for the man and woman she'd told to meet her over the communicators. It didn't mean she was going to make it easy to sneak up on her or take advantage of the inch of trust she'd show over that network. She had a plan.
Instead of waiting in the building where she'd camped out, well before dawn Peggy had slipped over to one of the building's across the street. It was a bit more decayed and it took her a bit to get up to a second floor, but she climbed into place where she could be an effective look out. She's moved into a broken out window, taking advantage of the morning's dim light and long shadows to hopefully almost entirely conceal her frame. She's gathered about a dozen hefty bits of concrete, rock, and even a section of rebar next to her -- all make shift weapons in case something would go awfully wrong. She keeps watch there as long as it takes for anyone else to approach -- if they come at all.
