MIDTOWN: Doug Ramsey & X-23 & Steve & Open
Their little pep talks and speeches indicated no sign of malicious intent, and yet Laura couldn't completely trust them. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Suddenly little bits of who she was were clear to her, despite not knowing why she was that way. She didn't trust these two, and she doubted she would trust anyone else that was in this place, and on top of that the idea of killing them felt like it went against some part of her, and yet felt so natural. It wasn't making any sense.
Her blue eyes switched between the two men as they spoke, her walls clearly not down by the cautiousness in them. Flexing her fingers out straight, claws still extended from her hands, X-23 took in what was before her and silently tried to decide what to do. She had no doubt that she could easily kill the younger of the two, and something told her that it wouldn't be her first time going up against someone like the larger man. She was a killer, she knew that, and yet she couldn't bring herself to do it. What did that mean?
Her hands relaxed at the sides of her thighs, but the little frown pulling down the corners of her lips remained. There seemed no reason to comment on the fact that she and the taller of the two men had some form of powers. She could feel the strength of her body and the complete lack of fatigue toxins for herself -- she didn't need to be told.
Finally, after a moment of silence following Doug's words, Laura's lips parted ever so slightly and then she finally spoke. "X-23." They did not need her name -- and as far as she was aware, that was at least a name for her of sorts.
