HELLO GLORIOUS PEOPLE.

Teresa here with my second! (They grow up so fast.) This is Karolina Dean, aka Lucy in the Sky, aka Possibly The Most Ridiculous Codename in History. Karolina is pretty friendly, so don’t be afraid to say hi. =D She’ll be easy to spot. Just look for the girl literally made of rainbows and sparkles. Karolina can harness and manipulate the power of the sun, so she’s a) a total sun worshipper and b) a bug’s worst nightmare. She’s a lot more emotional than Paige is and she wears her heart on her sleeve, so I think that’ll be fun to play out.

Hey everyone! Carrie here bringing in another New Mutant. This is Doug Ramsey aka Cypher. He's a friendly and mellow guy who likes to help so expect him to hang around your characters to see what he can assist with. He sees the best in people and believes there's good in everyone, so he will want to play the peacekeeper. Unlike Kitty, he'll gladly take those pom pom and cheer all of you on. :D But while he's nice and has faith in the group, he's kinda harsh on himself and doesn't exactly think he's worth much. He mostly tends to blend in the background, where he thinks he belongs. Not really the step-up and be-a-leader type, this one.

If all goes well, I hope he can play the strategist role in Dystopia and put his head to use. I think he'll do well tracking and studying the swarm's behavior. His powers aren't /too/ useful at the moment but he should have no problem doing some data and pattern analysis. Otherwise, he'll be good for a shoulder to cry on... or a punching bag. :)

He'll be landing on Day 10 and will seek out people immediately, so come say hi to your resident linguist when he does!

Hi everyone! New player here. I'm Carrie (I think I know some of you) and I'm bringing one Miss Tabitha Smith into the game. Memory loss or not, Tabitha is pretty much the same loud and obnoxious fun-loving gal you know. She's pretty brave and has a knack of charging in headfirst without really using that head of hers. Her first goal in this world is to find some new clothes because you can't fight shit if you ain't looking cute.

She'll be arriving today, so if anyone would like to be her welcome party, it would be much appreciated!

Krista here! I was enabled. Totally enabled and it will never happen again! I've Rachel Summers here! She's fresh from the future, not that she'll remember but it gives you reassurance that the Phoenix force isn't coming to town. She's paranoid, scared, crazy shy with some facial tats that didn't heal all that well (but she hides those behind a telepathic suggestion). But she'll still want to help people, driven by her guilt and need for forgiveness.

She's a high power telepath and telekinetic. She's spent the last 10 years being a trained hunter and killer so has extremely fine control over her abilities...unless she's backed into a corner and fears for her life in which case then she'll be nutty. XD

I'll be bringing her in today (Day 4). Plotting is love! <3

Greetings Players! This is our first World Building exercise. Here, everyone is invited and encouraged to contribute ideas on how we can flesh out more of what Dystopia is. We designed Dystopia as a framework to be built upon by not just the mods, but players too! We are a community of creative individuals and when we put our minds together, fireworks happen. If you have a simple idea, a complicated, or an off the wall idea, we want to hear it! Bring it on.

On the FAQs page, you'll see we've added a little more information on THE WATCHER (no, not Uatu) and GENERAL world information to try and paint a better picture of what we have in mind, without revealing too much about the overall game-plot. Hopefully this helps guide you into better understanding things like the 50 years of decay and why some things aren't how they should be.

Before we get started, here are some posting rules & guidelines that we ask everyone to follow!

Hey everyone and happy Hunger Games game-opening day! I'm Teresa and I am super excited to play with y'all. Who doesn't love a good post-apocalyptic-style adventure?

I'm bringing in Paige Guthrie, aka Husk. There are approximately twenty-seven Guthrie children* and Paige is the second oldest, after her brother Sam. She grew up with a lot of responsibility, helping take care of all her younger siblings after her father died, and even though she doesn't remember her family, that instinct to take care and protect people is carrying over into Dystopia. She's fiercely independent and will absolutely try boss you around if you let her, but she's very friendly and incredibly loyal to anyone she considers a friend...and she needs friends! *Just kidding, there are only eleven Guthrie kids, but doesn't eleven sound so reasonable compared to twenty-seven?

Hi everyone! The game is kicking off this weekend and we are thrilled to get underway! We will be posting an OPEN thread for all characters to tag into on July 25th. Feel free to have your character's pod arrive at any point during the day and at any location of your choice. Before the game launch, there are a few things we'd like all players to take note of.

Read the RULES and the FAQs again just to re-familiarize yourself. Especially the FAQs! They contain important world information you'll need to know before tagging (i.e. the ONLY items your character will be arriving with in their pod).

And while we're on the subject of world, if you have any cool ideas to add to world building Dystopia, PLEASE by all means hit up the DROPBOX and tell us about them!

Every character journal will be required to have your Marvel Dystopia application posted where prospective players can see and get a feel for the game. Remember, we're building our characters's histories from Day 1 this Saturday, and your applications will need to be continuously updated with in-game events. (Having your personal contact information on your public application is not required, but a contact post is very helpful for prospective players who have questions.)

In addition to having your application up, each character journal is required to have icons uploaded and ready to use. We're not going to force you to have 100 icons of your character PB, but a variety of expressions is the spice of life here on IJ, and we want to see your PB play the character you've written for them!

Run the FRIEND ADD on your character journals! Communication-type messages will be utilizing these journals, not the IC game community. If you're not friended, you'll miss important things!

Activity requirements will kick in starting in August and will include the thread that is going up on July 25th.

Any players who have been accepted into the game but have not yet accepted community invitations will be removed on Launch Day and will need to re-apply.

We now have a WANTED PAGE! (Banner coming soon!) Post your wanted ads ASAP. We'll be doing more game advertising all this week and that's one of the places prospective players will be looking for character ideas.

I'm Dani and I'm starting off the bat with two characters! Totally excited about the game and being able to play some supers in an atmosphere where they're required to use their special set of skills on a daily basis. It's very interesting and I can't wait to see what happens and how everyone else in the world of Dystopia handles it all!

First off I bring you Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner! His profile is HERE. I've always loved Nightcrawler and can't get over how much of a cutie pie he is! I've always wanted to have the chance to play him so I'm pretty excited to get this game rolling. So, Kurt is the ever loving good friend type and will be seeking to help others as soon as he realizes he's not alone in this wasted city! It's entirely part of his nature to do good by others and always has a desire to have close friends; though he may initially stick to the shadows until he knows others are okay with him. He'll help but may not stick around once things seem okay, unless he's made to feel like he's needed to stay. Friends anyone??

Secondly I bringing in Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze/Zarathos/.... His profile is HERE. He's a bit of a conundrum as far as knowing what his deal really is. He shares his body (unwillingly) with Zarathos' spirit (who is a demon) and it's a constant battle for control. Also, there's the whole Ghost Rider thing and well... he's not even sure what to make of himself. He does react to the needs of others and Ghost Rider especially will protect the innocent should he find himself in a situation to do so. Johnny is friendly enough, though cautious and sarcastic, and he's got a flare for the dramatic. Basically just read his personality on his profile. :D I know I said it all better there. He won't know about joining a group of people or not, and although he may be hesitant to genuinely open up to others I'd love to see him make connections and feel dedicated to a cause.

Hello, everyone! I'm Zoe and am late to the party because I was finishing up both characters before intro-ing!

JESSICA DREW|SPIDER-WOMAN

Jessie is going to be less than thrilled with the circumstances of dystopia, but who isn't? Her personality and powers are detailed in her profile linked above, but know that she is determined to be a good person, because despite not remembering it, she worked for HYDRA for a time as an assassin. She wants to prove herself to others but she's relatively shy and typically doesn't think she is good enough for most big tasks. Back home she was still trying to learn who she was, become who she wanted to be etc., so this whole memory loss is going to do a number on her. Also to be noted, she won't have her perfume to cover up her pheromone secretion, so many of your boys (and any interested ladies) will find themselves quite attracted, and non-interested parties may find themselves disgusted by her. She's also capable of eliciting fear with this, and she has a small bit of control over the whole deal. She'll likely look to form up with a group of people rather than go out on her own, her own self doubt hindering her.

ELIZABETH BRADDOCK|PSYLOCKE

Betsy is at a point in her timeline where she's been resurrected more than once and has lost the love of her life, and then lost someone she started to love again. Needless to say, while she can't remember why, she's a little bitter. She has a knack for killing, and by knack I mean that she has a bit of an addiction. On the plus side, she'll kill for others so that they don't have to have that blood on their hands and she can be quite nurturing and supportive to those she cares for, so anyone who teams up with her will have quite a handy ally. Obviously you all likely know that she has mad martial arts skills, whether it be hand to hand or if she's using her psi-knife or one of her various other psionic created weapons. Aside from fighting, she has both telekinetic and telepathic powers, both of which can be very dangerous but also helpful. Bets might scout out the situation first, but in the long run she is a follower rather than a leader and she likes company, so she'll end up in a group eventually.

Hello everyone! My name is Crystal and I know a couple of you from other games. I am bringing in Hope Summers, the mutant messiah. She is a sweet soldier/kid who is tough, fair, and practical, and likes having friends but is okay if she doesn't have too many. While she is the chosen vessel for the Phoenix, her primary power is that of being able to use the abilities of other x-gene mutants within an approximate 25' range of her. Hi folks! I'm Krista and I have this here little lady: MCU Maria Hill...let's call her Agent Maria Hill. Titleless Stark Industries Employee Maria Hill just doesn't flow off the tongue too well. Not that it really matters here because of swiss cheese memory and all, BUT this does mean that she's pretty good at surviving.

Maria would be motivated to group together, stake out a territory and organize. She's not an ultimate leader, but she makes a great second in command, and she can spot a natural leader when she sees one. She'd keep an eye out for that. Weapons, equipment, supplies, her instincts will know what's necessary, and part of being a sooper sekrit agent chick (*cough*Winter Soldier made her not so sekrit*cough*) is being taught to listen to your instincts.

Plotty goodness is welcome! I'm unemployed so I'm pretty much always available. I'm on USA Eastern time, and email is the easiest way to get hold of me.
