Natalia was trying to convince him that she was not a threat. That much was obvious, but he still certainly did not trust her yet. It would take a long time for him to see her as he once did, and he was not sure that was something he wanted to do again, anyway.
But the fact that she was still around, and had found him so suddenly, left him wondering just what she was up to here. That was information that his superiors would probably be interested in.
[Yeah, I'd like that, too.] He took the paper from her without any hesitation and looked over the number. He knew he would not be in New York much longer, but this would not be the first time he'd skipped out on his rendezvous. Talking to her would get him information that could be useful, anyway.
[I'll call you soon. It really is nice to see a familiar face.] He pocketed the paper and adjusted the bag on his shoulder. It would be nice, he thought, when he knew exactly whose side she was on.
