While it had been many years since she last saw him, she found herself still able to read him a bit. Not much, with so much time passed, but more than the average person could do. Still, his words about not having time sent an alarm through her, as she had no idea of his alignment.
As she knew all the operatives without SHIELD, she knew he was not working with them. Therefore, this could turn into a problem.
[Don't have time for an old friend?] she asked, attempting to stall him from whatever he needed. She guessed it was an assignment, though that did not mean she was correct in that assumption. Forcing herself to relax, to look unassuming and as harmless as possible, she took a few steps towards him. Still, she kept enough space between them to defend herself if it became necessary.
It was a risk, but one that seemed worth taking at the moment. She knew she needed information to report back to SHIELD, and just telling them that Winter Soldier was around New York would not be enough. She needed more.
