She could not help but wince at the feel of the wound being cleaned - note to self, injuries needed to be taken care of stat or else there would be pain and gross smells. Neither of those were of the good. That was definitely not worth trying to avoid thinking about the incident that had caused the wound. Not completely, at least.
Forcing herself to pay attention to what Dr. McCoy was saying, since he was being so nice and all, Megan felt herself nodding along with his words. She bit her lip slightly for a moment, waiting for him to finish before asking timidly, "What are some of the signs of PSTD? Do they take a long time to go away?"
Her nightmares seemed like a sign, but she wasn't sure. And it was so hard to force herself to look it up online, because she was afraid it would tell her more than she could handle right now. She trusted Dr. McCoy would know what to tell her without overwhelming her. He was good with people like that.
