Who: Kitty and Logan NPCs: Ogun When: 12/18 (backdated) Where: Chicago What: Kitty and Logan put an end to their troubles with Ogun. Rating: PG-13
Kitty knelt in the X-Force training room, staring at the sword in her hands. She couldn't believe it had ever felt so heavy once, but the sword, like her heart, felt light again. The training had been tough--tougher than almost anything she'd ever been through in her life--but she had come out of it remembering herself. She had been raised to tackle a problem head on, and all this time she had worried about her problems instead of doing something about them.
While she felt the weight of Ogun's influence on her less acutely now, there was still work to be done. She still needed to face him and ward him out of the country, if she could. She stood, taking the sword to the room where Logan was staying. She rested it against the door frame, and turned to leave. Regardless of the outcome of this confrontation, he had given her invaluable mentoring. The fact that she was standing up to Ogun at all was thanks to him.
She walked out into the bitter winter cold, glancing back at headquarters one more time. She knew there was a good chance she wasn't going to be back, and so she said a silent goodbye to it before getting to work.
It didn't take her long to rifle through her father's files to find the Chicago operations for the Shigematsu Corporation. As she slipped into the building, sneaking around security, she couldn't help but notice the irony in using the skills Ogun had shoved into her head to seek him out. To find him or someone who could point her in his direction, she made her way to the upper floors, to the executive suites.
