Who: Open to all Xavier Residents (Current and Former!) NPC: Charles Xavier When: 22nd May, 2010 Where: Xavier's School: Ballroom What: The Second Annual X-Ball is held. Rating: PG
The ballroom was beautifully decorated, though unlike last year, there was not as much pink aside from the occasional balloon or streamer. The buffet table was overloaded with food, which was no surprise to anyone, and there was a DJ station set up near the stage of the ballroom.
All around, people were milling around with masks covering their faces as popular music blasted through speakers. Some people were easily recognizable, but others were harder to identify. There was a touch of excitement in the air as the students tried to guess who their friends were, but Charles was not worried about intruders using masks to sneak in. It was a little straining, but he had a clear lock on every mental signature that entered or exited the ballroom from any of its three exits. There was, of course, the main doors, but there was also a door that led outside and yet another backstage.
The ball would go as smoothly as it did last year, Charles was hoping. He sat peacefully off to the side, near some of the other chaperons. A simple black mask that Ororo had helped him find covered his eyes. For just a few hours, he would be able to forget about the troubling news that he had received from his contacts in Washington.
