My trip with Kevin to visit his sister brought to light some concerning issues with Kevin's well being. I believe we're all aware that he's been suffering profoundly since defecting from the Brotherhood, largely because of his experiences with Genosha. While I fully believe that the therapy Emma has been providing to him is the only reason we haven't completely lost him, I think he is in need of more intensive professional help than what we have provided. Attached is a list of qualified psychiatrists in the area. I'd be happy to speak to them on Kevin's behalf to make sure we are putting him in good hands should we come to the consensus that that is best for Kevin's well being.
However, I also wanted to speak on the possibility of our being able to help him further, provided that Kevin gives us permission. Our powers come with a lot of responsibility, but we all made a pledge at one point or another to use them to help people. Charles, you helped me when my mind was in a dark and uncontrollable place, and we might do well to consider similar options here. I understand that this is an extremely gray area ethically, so I wanted to discuss it with all of you. I don't suggest this lightly--he is suffering.
My biggest concern is that we have such little time left with Kevin before he is independent and goes his own way in the world. I would not feel comfortable letting him go without trying to aggressively address his current state of mental duress as it will only be harder for him when he is on his own.
