Nick Fury was a busy man. It took a lot to keep an organization such as S.H.I.E.L.D. running smoothly but he managed this arduous task. Most would tell him that the secret to being a good leader is the ability to delegate responsibility. They warned him that If he kept throwing himself into all of these endeavors full force, he'd burn himself out before long. Fury chewed up and spit out several men like this over the years. After all, it was his attention to detail and hands on management that turned S.H.I.E.L.D. from a rinky dink little agency into the global power it was today. It was also his drive to get the job done, no matter what he had to do. Whether that involved turning a blind eye to something or bringing in a cold hearted CEO who just happened to be a world class telepath.
Emma Frost was one hell of a woman. Business Savvy and telepathic ability all rolled up in a designer corset. Word had it that she was also a grade 'A' bitch. Fury was certain if he was ten years younger, they'd have been divorced by now. He allowed a brief smirk at that thought before getting his game face on. It wouldn't be smart to let Emma Frost see any sort of weakness on him. Fixing the small black dot behind his ear, he was ready to go.
Marching forth from his office, the General was immediately flanked by two of his top agents. This duo kept him updated on the goings on of the agency. It was a quick, 156 step, walk from his office to the helipad where she would be arriving. He had given the clearance to Frost's helicopter only moments ago and now it was time to meet the woman herself. He stood in the crisp morning with a blank expression as the helicopter lowered itself down onto the flat expanse of concrete. It was show time.
