Who: Reed Richards & Sue Storm NPCs: --- When: 16th March, 2009 Where: Manhattan, NY: Baxter Building What: Sue and Reed try to get married. Again. Rating: PG
Everything was being set in motion. She could hear the music starting up, the many guests that had decided to attend shifting in their seats, and the distant sound of traffic from way below in the streets. She took one last look in the mirror and was satisfied to see that the pimple that had threatened to ruin her face was nowhere to be seen. Yes, she used her invisibility as her own form of a cosmetic coverup. It made things simpler and cleaner. A girl was allowed to be a little vain on the day of her wedding.
She was hoping that they'd be able to get to their vows. All the other times she hadn't even been able to finish her walk down the aisle. Some crisis or another would call them away or something would crash their wedding. The good money was on the wedding not being a success, but she ignored the doubters. Sue had a feeling that today would be the day she would be Mrs. Susan Storm Richards. It was a bubbly feeling in the pit of her stomach that shouted, 'Kiss that man! Today's the day!' And she embraced the feeling because she wanted this so badly, she was willing to crawl through fire and brimstone for it.
Today was not the day though, because before Sue could even leave the room and meet her brother to start her walk, she heard a shout. It was easy enough to recognize it as belonging to Johnny and it sent her running out into room that led up to the roof. What she saw made her freeze momentarily in annoyance before she dropped her bouquet and jumped into action.
"How did you get out of jail, Harvey?" She asked in slight panic, as she watched him hold her brother up in the air with some kind of electrical field that was emanating from his gloves. It reminded her of her shields but before she could throw one at the Mole Man, a raptor-like creature sprinted at her from one of the doors that led into the room. All her attentions were on it, as it tried to rip her to shreds, and she was forced to leave her brother to find his own way out of his situation.
That's when the screams from the roof started as more creatures, both dinosaur-like and made of rock and Earth, filled the room and headed up to the roof to terrorize and hurt as many as people as possible.
"This," the sniveling man whimpered with glee, "Is revenge, Susan Storm. No one throws me in jail and gets a perfect wedding!"
